Interests

Kayaking

I like to sea kayak as well as white water kayak. I am a member of the Carolina Canoe Club as well as the Mudflat Rangers.

I regularly take my 14' Necky Zoar out to Jordan Lake and paddle for 6 miles or so. I sometimes see bald eagles while kayaking at Jordan Lake.

In July 2006, I took a four day white water kayak class at the Natahala Outdoor Center in North Carolina. I'm still working on my Eskimo roll.

Carolina Hurricanes

I am a huge fan of the Carolina Hurricanes NHL hockey team. Janyne and I have been purchasing 24 game packs for several seasons. Game 7 of the final round of the Stanley Cup play-offs was an amazing experience! No one sat down during the entire game, and it was the loudest recorded sporting event in US history (124 decibels) Go Canes!

Agility

I am training our Golden Retriever Emma to do dog agility. She's making great progress and really enjoys dog school. We are taking classes at the Autumn Winds Dog Training and Agility Center.
